Who needs COSHH training?
By Health Safety Courses editorial team ยท Occupational health and safety training editors
Short answer
Anyone who uses, stores, transports or supervises work with substances that can harm health should understand the risks and controls. The depth of training depends on the role.
Roles that usually need awareness
Cleaning teams, care staff using disinfectants, workshop and maintenance teams, laboratory users, warehouse staff handling chemicals, and supervisors who set tasks involving substances.
When deeper training helps
If you write COSHH assessments, specify controls, manage spill response, or work with higher-hazard processes, choose a course that goes beyond awareness into assessment and control selection.
